Ultrex® Manufacturing Process

Infinity Doors
Integrity Doors
Tecton Products, the manufacturer of Ultrex, takes their effect on the environment very seriously. So much so, they set the highest standard in the industry for the destruction of pollutants. They destroy more than 96.9% of volatile organic compounds. The Environmental Protection Agency has certified the emissions control technology at Tecton Products to be the maximum achievable control technology, placing them in full compliance with the 1990 Clean Air Act. Their processes don’t produce any sewage waste and all styrene vapors are destroyed with no emissions.

Not only does Tecton Products engage in environmentally sound manufacturing processes, Ultrex in and of itself, is inherently environmentally safe. Ultrex has a high mineral content, which is mined and requires minimal processing. There are no waste streams intrinsic to the pultrusion process and the only continuous source of scrap are chips and dust from fabrication. Both of which are non-leaching and landfill safe.

Ultrex allows for Infinity® from Marvin's high energy efficiency, thereby reducing heating and cooling costs and energy usage. Because Infinity is made of this pultruded fiberglass called Ultrex, fewer natural resources need to be used to achieve its superior strength to weight ratio.
